Also located in Akrotiri, the White Beach is one of the most beautiful on the island because of its remarkable white towering cliffs. White Beach is in a cove of cliffs and has volcanic sand and pebbles. The ideal way to get to this beach is by boat and it is one of the quieter beach’s on the island. It is also perfect for snorkeling and has some underwater caves.

Kamari Beach is famously known for its deep black volcanic sand all along the beach. This beach has beautiful views of cliff-sides and very clear swimmable waters. There are also tons of places to eat right along the water.

Amoudi Bay Beach

Amoudi Bay is one of the most popular places on the island, and many scenes of Hollywood movies have been filmed here. To get to Amoudi Bay you walk down around 278 steps from Oia City. Amoudi Bay is well know for cliff jumping and people often swim out to the popular rock in the ocean with very high cliffs.

Vlychada Beach

Vlychada Beach is very unique because of its yellow cliffs that are referred to as “a lunar landscape” and look like they were made by a sculptor. This beach also offers nearby a Tomato Industrial Museum which is an ex-tomato factory. The beach also isn’t too packed and is good for relaxing.
